After a toasty ride to grab some delicious food from the Thai Basil cart in downtown Portland, we headed toward the pacific. The first stop was Cape Kiwanda, where we ventured up the massive sand dunes, around Star Wars-like sand pits, and over ocean-sculped rocks and sea caves.

BOOOOOM.

The HLCK possie photo-op (mind the grass in the foreground for added artsy-ness)

Alex living dangerously…

Tyler defying gravity.

Objects in photo are further than they appear.

Super-awesome-epic sunset on the beach.

As we watched the sun set, we headed toward the town of Neskowin, OR where Tyler had planned for us to camp, knowing of a good camping spot there. However, after driving half way to the town, Tyler realized the actual name of the town he was thinking of was Nehalem, which happened to be an hour in the opposite direction… we arrived in the dark to find a “Campground Full” sign, but with some slick, lady-park ranger pleasing skills, we got a spot in the campground.
The next day we explored the beach, waded in tide-pools, collected almost-whole sand dollars, and experimented with “sand”-serif typography.

A quick jaunt up the coast to the top of Oregon to get extreme, or just claim…

“Where we’re going, we don’t need roads…”

HCLK, everyone is talking about it…

Session 3 just wrapped up today and it’s time to bust out crazy amounts of work so we can all go river floating, camping, fun-ing, etc tomorrow for the fourth. It was ridiculously nice out all week…so hot on hill the last few days that Tyler and I mandatory gaper gapped for venting and everyone was getting trace goggle tans despite doubling up on sunblock and facemasks. Can’t complain though, we cooled down a bit yesterday afternoon with Staale by dropping our pants and upping our gangster quotient. Booyah.
PS Look at Tyler being all “I’m-looking-off-in-the-distance”

Tonight we went skating late night at BOB. I tried to find my water bottle before we left and I couldn’t find it anywhere. After we got back I found it.

This is what Tyler had been doing while I was up in Govy. What a creative guy.

Smug.

This is me being humorously bummed.

Here I am going all X-Men on him.

I don’t usually wear Huck Finn pants, but we had just been skating and it was hot.

Fin.
